Aliki Stroumpouli

Aiming to address the uncanny
Aliki is an artist whose extraordinary work encompasses jewellery, sculpture,
photography, and product design. Inspired by the surreal,
Aliki’s creations surprise and scandalise.
Her work is a narrative thread.
She is currently exploring the agonising and extremely intense experience of
being exposed and naked to the unknown gaze. Intrigued by the violation of
intimate space and the insatiable appetite of the eye, she creates work that
ranges from jewellery and installations to everyday objects.
Her latest work consists of weird and wonderful jewellery that shock,
alongside wearable sculptural constructions which provoke with their
mysterious and occasionally monstrous manner.
The dramatic and at the same time sensational collection embraces a staring toilet,
1000 eye-pattern toilet rolls, small animal shape bathtubs and various menacing eyeballs.
