This project is an attempt to raise Jewelry in biological means.
Embedded in glass containers are bacterias and fungus that are growing and evolving constantly.
The bacterias and fungus are indeed trapped inside glass containers but you can’t really control the content that takes place in the final appearance of the jewelry. The bacterias are keep on growing until they reach there final look and then there dying process begin.
The project is based on the idea of raising living jewel that will be wearable at the same time. It changes constantly as the human body is changing and growing as well. Part of this project was also created in the laboratories of Tel Aviv University and the jewelries are a combination of biological materials with jewelry materials.
The role of the creator of the jewelry is main and secondary at the same time, though I’m responsible for the creation of the jewel and controls it, at the same time the jewel is producing itself and controls what is happening to him – the jewel basically has a life of his own.
