My work can appear as surface, but I also want it to allude to something else that contrasts as well as questions our preconceived thoughts. The bearer of my necklaces express and impress on the outside and within.

I want to erase the boundaries between craft, fashion and folklore and give a new perspective of what folklore is today. Traditional craft from different countries has always appealed to me, as well as their resemblance all over the world.

The idea to make textile necklaces came out of small pieces of ribbon, lace and buttons that I found in my grandmothers house. She had collected all those small things during and after the war from sheets, curtains and clothin, saved and never used.
