The main focus of my work lies within the exploration of material qualities and combinations,
allowing room for playfulness to enter the work. I am interested in boundaries, be it the
relationship between garments and jewellery, such as how a brooch is fastened onto a dress,
or the juxtaposition of different materials. I draw inspiration from the construction of garments,
and the qualities of materials, such as the intimate feeling of the inside of a cardigan, the diffused
back of a piece of embroidery or the repetitive loops in crocheting.
