Brooch: Mayfly 2009
Nowdays our life can change very suddenly and everyone has to be ready to
addapt to new and strange situations. Things are combined in random ways
in order to discover new roads. In this collection brooches I tried to create strange
creatures constructed out of a silver frame with randomly added materials such as
pearls, gemstones, wood and thread. They search for hidden qualitys and aspects
of our life that we would rather like to hide or don’t know we own. These new discoverys
can be evoked by the jewelrybugs. By wearing the things we don’t like to show to others
as a piece of jewelry it becomes an accepted part of our personality and thereby a part
of our expression.
