Born in 1986

Born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, Helen Habtay enjoyed a vocational training as an Assistant Engineer for clothing technology at Frankfurt School for clothing and fashion.

In 2009 Helen studied BA Hons Jewellery and Accessories Degree at Middlesex University, London. Graduated in 2013, she has worked for various renowned jewellery designers, including Ute Decker and Florian Ladstätter.

In 2014 Helen continued MA studies in Fine Arts, Gemstone and Jewellery at University of Applied Sciences Trier, Idar-Oberstein, where she lives and works.

The driving force of her work is a continuous inquisitiveness about the relationship between body and adornment, underpinned by what objects mean to us in society.
